Mixed Palletizing
Mixed palletizing is the process of stacking different types of products on a single pallet. It is widely used in distribution centers to efficiently process mixed orders. Robots equipped with vision systems and smart grippers ensure the strategic placement of products, considering stability and space optimization. This increases order processing speed and reduces reliance on manual labor. Mixed palletizing provides businesses with a flexible and cost-efficient solution for their logistics operations.
Case description
Our customer was faced with the challenge of correctly stacking different types of boxes from the logistics warehouse. The focus was on efficiently and accurately placing boxes of different sizes on the pallet. It was crucial that the stack would not fall over, which required extra attention to stability. By using the vision system, we were able to identify each box with precision.
Our "Tetris AI" then calculated the ideal order and positioning of the boxes. This ensured that the boxes were optimally stacked on top of each other, without the stack becoming wobbly. Thanks to this solution, each pallet is built up firmly and safely. The automation ensures reliable and error-free execution of the stacking process.
