Bin Picking Unkown Objects
Bin picking of unknown objects is a robotic process in which random items are picked from a container. It uses advanced vision systems and algorithms to identify, locate, and grasp objects. The technology is applied in manufacturing and logistics, for example, for sorting, assembling, or packaging. Robots can handle objects of various shapes, sizes, and positions, even in chaotic piles. This process increases efficiency, reduces errors, and automates complex manual tasks.
Case description
For a customer, we developed a bin picking solution that allows random objects to be picked from a bin. Our system scans the contents of the bin and determines exactly where each object is. This information is passed on to the robot, which picks the object safely and accurately. The system can handle all kinds of shapes and sizes, making it suitable for many applications. In this way, we help our customer to automate processes that are time-consuming, heavy or repetitive.
